My first blog post: hi!

    I always wanted to write my own blog. More than ten years ago they used to rule the internet and I enjoyed so much spending countless hours reading and watching videos about my interests - mainly humor, horror and beauty tips.  

    Personal blogs didn't disappear though. I believe they assumed different shapes as Youtube channels, Instagram pages or shorter TikTok videos (which now has longer videos, go figure). And I own accounts in every single one of them - and a few more - but my will to own a blog still remains.

   One of the reasons is my will to share experiences, even the simplest ones. Maybe because I always go after other people's experiences like opinions about makeup products, tips on how to clean a pan properly or on how to pack a suitcase for a trip. When I go through these experiences myself I feel the need to share what I've learned or what I think about everything - well, not everything, but many things.  

   In a way I already do that in my other profiles on social media and I believe they are good platforms for that. But I missed somewhere to better organize my thoughts and easier to be found by other people when they are searching about something specific like a tip or review I may have shared. Not that people are going to see this but if they do and I can help somehow, then I'm glad. 

  One more reason is practicing my written abilities since that's something I left aside for a long time. I do write a little in my Instagram posts ( @brunauga ) when I go to a new restaurant or visit some nice city. But in this case I'm restricted to a much smaller space since that social media is not suited for longer texts. I also write when I make a script for a video on my Youtube channel  but I wouldn't like to turn every little thing I want to say into a video - that takes too much time for production and editing. Not that every text I make here is going to be this long but I like the possibility of doing so.  

  Anyway, I wrote all this just to explain to myself why I want to start a blog in the 2020's, hahaha. I think it's going to be a nice hobby and I'll put some effort into it. If there's anyone reading this, welcome!
